Our Story

Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship (CPCF) (dba LifeLink Carolina) has become a catalyst for unity among the pregnancy care organizations in North Carolina. The challenging path ahead has created a growing need for a coordinated voice for these valuable life-affirming ministries!

LifeLink Carolina has been around since the earliest days of pregnancy resource centers in the state. Organized in 1987 by a small group of pregnancy center directors who had the vision for offering training and networking opportunities among pregnancy centers, adoption agencies, and maternity homes, the committee launched two statewide conferences and a newsletter.

In 1998, CPCF was officially incorporated as a 501(c) 3 nonprofit. Barbara Stevenson, a key leader from its beginnings, became the first part-time state director.

By 2010, our programs and services had expanded to a new level, and it became apparent that the state director position should become full-time. At that point, Bobbie Meyer left her position as executive director of a large pregnancy resource center to become the full-time state director. We look forward with anticipation to the journey ahead!
